Women climbing with women for women... Chicks with Picks promotes the spirit
of service and giving back to those in need. The purpose of this support is
to INSPIRE the climbing community to "give back "through the spirit of
community service, support of a non-profit, or charity based organization.
Chicks with Picks has donated $116,822 to local women's shelters in the
areas where our clinics are held.

Ouray Event:
Proceeds from our two public slide shows and live auctions support The Tri-County Resource Center in Montrose Colorado, a non-profit organization serving Ouray, Montrose, and Delta Counties. This year, we passed the $100,000 mark for money raised at Chicks with Picks, we are now their largest donor! The Center is in its 21st year of operation and offers shelter and resources for women. They provide a safe house for women in transition, counseling programs for abuse and sexual violation issues, three crisis lines, a 24-hour crisis hot line, and more. In 2003 Chicks with Picks was awarded the "Community Partners Award" by the State of Colorado and The Colorado Coalition Against Domestic Violence for our dedication to service and helping local women in need. Chicks East Event:
Proceeds from this auction supports a local shelter in Conway, New Hampshire called Starting Point. To date Chicks has raised almost $17,000 for the women's shelter. This non-profit community agency is made up of professionals and trained volunteers whose goals are to assure that survivors of sexual assault are treated with dignity and compassion. Services for victims of domestic and sexual violence include a 24 hour hotline, a resource center, emergency shelter, support groups, court and hospital advocacy.
