2010 Co-ed Skills Clinics
and Women’s Rock Climbing Course

Chicks Climbing is excited to return to Devil’s Lake for our second year of Chicks Rock! in the midwest. We had so much fun last year we are adding two NEW community events to the schedule that offer something for EVERYONE! We welcome beginner to advanced rock climbers with 5 different levels you can choose from.

We will kick off the weekend with a free slideshow at Boulders Climbing Gym in Madison, featuring one of our infamous Girly Guides, Kitty Calhoun. Please join us over the weekend for our new co-ed skills clinics that focus on several specific technical topics of interest. The grand finale is our three-day Intensive Women’s Rock Climbing Clinic that will take your climbing skills to a new height! Anyone who has attended will tell you “the experience is much more than just climbing!”

Located in the picturesque Baraboo Hills in south-central Wisconsin, Devil’s Lake State Park contains some of the best rock climbing in the Midwest. The park is surrounded on three sides by bluffs that rise to an elevation of 1,450 feet. These bluffs are home to purple quartzite rock cliffs that measure a hundred feet in height, attracting climbers from all over the country. Countless cliffs with illustrious names such as Balanced Rock, Leaning Tower and Aladdin’s Castle are home to the 1,600 rock climbs available to us. Needless to say, there is no shortage of climbable rock in the park!
