$350 includes climbing equipment, two dinners, Sat. & Sun. climbing clinics, 4-to-1 ratio, all levels welcome, evening workshop/discussions.
Description
Chicks Climbing is partnering with Sterling Rope to bring you our new short format courses in the Keene Valley, Adirondacks in upstate New York. For those of you who remember the Sterling Rope “Goddess on the Rocks” program, we are bringing them back as Girly Gatherings! Now you east coast girls can stay close to home and get some rock climbing in this summer.
The ‘Dacks’ offers a wide variety of climbing within minutes of the group campsite. It is known for some of the finest traditional rock climbing available today. There are well over 250 climbing areas in the Adirondacks, all of which deal a very unique experience from the next. Areas such as the Keene Valley – the center of our clinic – offers the largest variety of climbing in the Dacks, all within minutes of the group campsite! Most of the rock in the Dacks is anorthosite; it’s very coarse, hard rock and is often mistaken for granite, and is actually the same rock found on the moon.
Women of all abilities from beginner to advanced are welcome; we have 5 different clinic levels to choose from. This clinic offers a 4-to-1 ratio, climb with some of the best local Girly Guides the region has to offer!
Not Included: transportation, camping, lodging, breakfast and lunch.

We will provide you access to camp in a field next to Cloudsplitter Mountain Guides for $10 per person/per night – come join us! Bring your own tent, sleeping bag, pad, camp chair, water jug and stove.

6:00 p.m.: Meet at the group campsite just outside of Cloudsplitter Mountain Guides. Pizza dinner, registration and introductions. Get with your Girly Guides to go over goals for the clinic.
Saturday
8:00 a.m.: Leave for climbing
4:00 p.m. : Climbing ends
6:30 p.m.: Group dinner
7:30 p.m.: Workshop/discussion
Sunday
8:00 a.m.: Leave for climbing
2:00 p.m.: Climbing ends
3:00 p.m.: Closing ceremony
