2012 Chicks Rock! Climbing Course

Women’s Intensive Clinic – April 27-30; $775 (3 days)
Optional Multi-Pitch Day – May 1; $1,100 (4 days)

Who: Open to women who can climb 5.9 on rock on top rope.
What: Crack Climbing in Indian Creek Recreation Area, Utah. This clinic will focus on techniques to climb finger cracks, hand cracks, fist cracks, and off-widths. This clinic is being provided in partnership with Moab Desert Adventures.

3-day intensive clinic; max 12 Chicks

Chicks would like to invite you to climb with us this spring in the beautiful desert of southwest Utah. What better place to dedicate time to honing your crack climbing skills than in the mecca of cracks at Indian Creek. The beautiful Windgate sandstone cliffs offers the perfect place to practice hand jams, fists, chicken wings and finger locks. Our experienced Girly Guides want you to come play in their backyard so they can teach you the skills and techniques to climb cracks of all sizes.

The clinic is in late April, which is a perfect time to break out of winter and go to the desert for those first rays of sun. We will provide a fun, safe and encouraging environment for you to hone your new skills. At Chicks Rock!, you can expect to learn a ton, connect with awesome women and have an exhilarating experience that is so- much-more than climbing!

Optional Multi-Pitch Day; max 6 Chicks

Stay a day longer to climb a desert tower in Indian Creek. This is your chance to take the skills and techniques that you have learned during the three-day intensive and apply them to a multiple pitch desert tower. This day is open to all clinic participants and is on a first-come-first service basis. No prior multi-pitch experience is necessary. Take advantage of this unique opportunity with the Girly Guides!
