Prices

Option 1: Women’s Intensive Clinic – price includes guided climbing (4-to-1 ratio), three catered dinners and demo shoes = $725 (clinic to be capped at 12 women)

Option 2: Women’s Intensive PLUS Multi-Pitch Day – price includes women’s intensive clinic, guided climbing (4-to-1 ratio), four catered dinners, demo shoes PLUS multi-Pitch day (2-to-1 ratio) = $1100 (to be capped at 6 women)

Description

Chicks would like to invite you to climb with us this spring in the beautiful desert of southwest Utah. What better place to dedicate time to honing your crack climbing skills than in the mecca of cracks at Indian Creek. The beautiful Windgate sandstone cliffs offers the perfect place to practice hand jams, fists, chicken wings and finger locks. Our experienced Girly Guides want you to come play in their backyard so they can teach you the skills and techniques to climb cracks of all sizes.

The clinic is in late April, which is a perfect time to break out of winter and go to the desert for those first rays of sun. We will provide a fun, safe and encouraging environment for you to hone your new skills. At Chicks Rock!, you can expect to learn a ton, connect with awesome women and have an exhilarating experience that is so much more than climbing!

Stay a day longer to climb a desert tower in Indian Creek. This is your chance to take the skills and techniques that you have learned during the three-day intensive and apply them to a multiple pitch desert tower. This day is open to all clinic participants and is on a first-come-first service basis. No prior multi-pitch experience is necessary. Take advantage of this unique opportunity with the Girly Guides – Dawn Glanc, Kitty Calhoun and Angela Hawse!

Schedule

Day 1: Friday, April 27
Arrive early enough at the airport to food shop, get water and arrive at the campsite by
4:00 p.m. Kick-off meeting/orientation begins
5:00 p.m Catered dinner

Day 2: Saturday, April 28
Chicks Rock clinic, 4-to-1 ratio
8:00 a.m. Meet at the campsite geared up for the day
 4:00 p.m.: Climbing day ends
6:30 p.m.: Catered dinner at the campsite.

Day 3: Sunday, April 29
Chicks Rock clinic, 4-to-1 ratio
8:00 a.m. Meet at the campsite geared up for the day
4:00 p.m.: Climbing day ends
 6:30 p.m.: Catered dinner at the campsite

Day 4: Monday, April 30
Chicks Rock clinic, 4-to-1 ratio
8:00 a.m.: Meet at campsite geared up for the day
2:30 p.m.: Climbing day ends
3:30 – 5:00 p.m.: Final ceremony at the campsite
6:30 p.m.: Catered dinner for those staying for the multi – pitch day

Day 5: Tuesday, May 1
Optional Multi-Pitch climbing day, 2-to-1 ratio.
7:00 a.m.: Meet at the campsite geared up for the day.
4:00 p.m.: Climbing day ends.
Clinic Ends. Travel after 5:00 p.m.
