Is it time for you to graduate? If you have attended Chicks before or are a solid intermediate climber or above, this clinic is for you. It’s our only program that offers a 2-to-1 ratio with our Girly Guides and gives you an opportunity to progress outside the Ice Park and advance into backcountry climbing. You will focus on avalanche awareness, terrain assessment and efficient transitions of multi-pitch climbing. Experience some of the classic San Juan backcountry climbs so be prepared to hike and be outside for the entire day!

Limited Capacity: this advanced clinic is limited to 6 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sign up now!

Disclaimer: Climbing outside of the ice park will depend upon current avalanche danger during the clinic. If the danger is high, we will climb in the Ouray Ice Park. This is beyond our control and is a reality of backcountry conditions. Please be prepared to be flexible.

Climbing Experience: This clinic is for intermediate (Level 2) to advanced climbers (up to Level 6), check Clinic Levels before you sign up. If you are a beginner ice climber, please sign up for The Sampler, The Complete or The Quickie.

Logistics: Transportation is not included, please see Travel Beta for directions to The Victorian Inn, which is within walking distance to the Ouray Ice Park. Please check our What to Bring list to make sure you have everything you need. We have a limited amount of demo gear, so if you have it, bring it.
