For ten years Chicks with Picks has been kicking axe with our women’s ice climbing clinics. We’ve decided to shed our soft shells and don our favorite tank tops…we’re heading to the desert! Come join our expert Girly Guides in Red Rocks, Nevada for our NEW women’s rock climbing program!

We welcome beginner to advanced rock climbers with 5 different levels you can choose from. This three-day clinic offers a 4-to-1 ratio followed by an optional multi-pitch day with a 2-to-1 ratio.

Price includes climbing equipment and guiding. Lodging, meals and transportation are not included. Please see our list of camping, hotel and grocery options near the climbing area. Shopping and eating are certainly not a problem in this retail mecca!

Chicks has become well known for more than just climbing – our gals become solid climbers, learn self-reliance and confidence that funnels into everyday life. We not only climb hard all day, we will also gather at night for dinners, discussions, slideshows and campfires.

Red Rocks is a world-renowned climber’s mecca, located only 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. Named as a National Conservation Area, Red Rocks is comprised of multiple canyons cut into a 3000-foot sandstone escarpment, and plays host to a huge variety of climbing options. With steep but moderate routes, long cracks and bolted faces, bouldering and short sport routes, there is something for every climber here. Although close enough to Las Vegas for a fun night on the town, the climbs at Red Rocks are hidden from the city’s hubub, and wildlife still abounds. We’d love to see you there with us!

Chicks Rock 3-Day Weekend
Red Rocks, NV

Option 1: Three day weekend
Includes climbing equipment and guiding (4-to-1 ratio)= $795

Chicks Rock 3-Day Weekend PLUS Multi-Pitch Option, Red Rocks, NV

Option 2: Three day weekend plus multi-pitch day

(4-to-1 ratio) plus Three day weekend (4-to-1 ratio) plus the Multi-Pitch Option (2-to-1 ratio) on Monday = $1100

Take advantage of our Girly Guides at a 2-to-1 ratio, climbing one of the classic multi-pitch climbs in Red Rocks State Park. 
All levels of climbing welcome! We have a limited space for this special offer. First come, first serve basis according to when you sign up for the clinic. 

Chicks Rock! Red Rocks Itinerary:

Thursday
Arrive in Red Rocks early enough to drive an hour from the airport to do some food shopping and get settled into your campsite or hotel. 
5:00 PM: Kick off meeting/orientation at the Guide's Campsite. Directions provided.
6:30 PM: Optional dinner out as a group

Friday
Chicks Rock clinic, 4-to-1 ratio.
8:00 AM: Meet at the guide's campsite geared up for the day
4:00 PM: Climbing day ends
6:30 PM: Optional dinner out as a group. Anyone up for bowling?

Saturday
Chicks Rock clinic, 4-to-1 ratio.
8:00 AM: Meet at the Chicks Rock group campsite geared up for the day
4:00 PM: Climbing day ends
6:30 PM: Optional dinner out as a group. Anyone up for "clubbing" Las Vegas style?

Sunday
Chicks Rock clinic, 4-to-1 ratio.
8:00 AM: Meet at the Chicks Rock group campsite geared up for the day
2:30 PM: Climbing day ends
3:30-5:00 PM: Wrap up meeting at the guide's campsite. Plan to travel after 7:00 PM or spend another night
5:30 PM: Multi-Pitch Group meeting at the guide's campsite.
6:30 PM: Free night 

Monday
Optional Multi-Pitch climbing day, 2-to-1 ratio. ALL climbing levels welcome. Limited space available. First come, first serve. 
7:00 AM: Meet at the guides campsite geared up for the day. 
4:00 PM: Climbing day ends.

Travel after 6:00pm, or plan to stay another night. Those of you flying out, plan to fly on Tuesday.
