Carolyn is passionate, passionate about many things. She has been a climber for 15 years, run ultra-marathons, raced road bikes and mountain bikes, designed and created climbing clothing & chalk bags with a flare. She has 20 years of competition and training experience in many athletic venues and has over a decade of guiding and climbing experience, maintains multiple Trainer Certifications, WFR certification, is AMGA Certified Rock Guide, is the creator/owner of Athenafit training, as well as co-owner of Suntoucher Mountain Guides.

She has created Women's Mountain Biking Clinics, TelemarkSki Clinics, Women's Rock and Ice Climbing Seminars, owned a climbing shoe resoling company, and a sewing and equipment repair business, all self started. Her work and play have taken her from the Canadian Rockies, to the big walls of Yosemite and Utah's desert towers, from the Andes in South America, to the Nepal Himalayas and the Alps of France and Switzerland. New Mexico was her childhood home. Early years of life brought her opportunities to adventure through the wilderness from her own backyard, on her own, to become a skier, a climber, a mountain lover, run rivers, hike through remote regions, and develop an understanding for what truly matters.

The focus of her work and her life is to engage others in activities that create positive self change, to inspire, mentor, motivate, encourage, educate, and if that means changing the world one person at a time so be it. She derives the deepest satisfaction from seeing others succeed. However, she'll tell you it's not just about being faster or stronger it is about being a more conscious human being.
